Introducing FileFeed

FileFeed automates file imports, validation, and field mapping so engineering teams stop rebuilding the same ingestion logic for every new client. Accept CSV, Excel, and JSON via SFTP, email, or API.

Introducing FileFeed

Earlier this year, we decided to fix a problem we ran into at every company we helped scale. Every onboarding stalled the moment files showed up, every team rebuilt the same validation logic, and the work only got messier as more customers joined.

Adding a new data source should be simple. In reality, nothing about CSV imports, ad hoc file feeds, or partner uploads is ever straightforward.

The problem we are solving

Each customer ships data in a different shape. Column names shift, required fields go missing, and business rules change from one export to the next. Engineers end up trapped in a loop that looks like this:

  • rewriting mappings
  • tweaking transformations
  • updating validations
  • fixing broken imports
  • changing code for every new client

It drains engineering time, stalls onboarding, and piles on technical debt. We lived that pain for years, so we chose to remove it entirely.

What we are building

FileFeed is the easiest way to support any data source without touching code every time something changes. It has two core parts that work together:

  • Automated FileFeeds - A fully automated pipeline for file transfers, validation, transformation, and delivery. Files come in messy and leave clean, structured, and ready to use. No servers, scripts, or maintenance.
  • Embeddable Importer - A drop-in upload and mapping flow you can add to your app. Users upload their files, map fields, preview fixes, and submit in a guided, friendly experience.

Together they give product, operations, and engineering teams a predictable way to ingest any spreadsheet, keep data accurate, and move faster without hand-built tooling.

Why we are building this

Adding a new data source should not take days or weeks. Engineers should not rewrite the same mapping logic from scratch. Teams deserve a way to grow without their backlog growing too.

We spoke with dozens of companies dealing with the same issues: importing files is slow, cleaning data is manual, and integrations are fragile. FileFeed changes that by giving teams a simple, repeatable path from raw files to structured data. If you want to understand the broader challenge, our guide on what data onboarding really involves covers the full picture.

This is just the beginning. We are building the foundation for a world where supporting a new data source is measured in minutes, not weeks. If onboarding new client data takes longer than it should, FileFeed is built for you.
